Scheduled diagnostics. How often should it be done?
Modern laptops have long ceased to be just a tool for gaming or entertainment. They are full-fledged electronic machines that perform many complex tasks. In recent years, they have become almost complete replacements for large, bulky computers. But they need constant care and maintenance.
Since these are working machines, it often happens that while working, you accidentally spill coffee, tea, or other liquids on your laptop. In this situation, the main thing is to react quickly - turn off the power, disconnect the battery (if it is replaceable), and immediately bring it to us at M.Service. We accept such situations for repair without waiting in line, because every minute counts!
If it is spilled, we recommend that you do not shake the laptop to prevent moisture from getting even deeper under the chips and cables.
Also, during intensive work, the laptop makes noise and gets hot. You need to pay special attention to this phenomenon, because the cooling fans inside are nothing more than a vacuum cleaner on your desk that draws in dust and dirt from the environment.
If you don't keep your laptop clean, it will break down faster, without the possibility of restoring it to its factory condition.
The first signs are that it's time:
- The cooler makes noise all the time, regardless of the task load
- Laptop overheats and freezes, doesn't work as well as new
- Laptop turns off on its own
- We recommend bringing it in for scheduled maintenance every 6 months, as this is the ideal operating time when the season changes. For example, after the winter or summer period.
- Also, if the laptop shuts down, there may be reasons that are not so terrible, but no less important.
We had a situation where we repaired the charger or the charge socket in the same laptop every week. While we were in the test period after the repair, everything was fine. As soon as it was taken back to the office, the same thing happened again.
We didn't know what to do anymore, because the work was not difficult to repair, and the result was the same.
We went to the client's office and found a banal situation - a poor quality socket, which was the reason for the repeated repairs. The client, in addition to spending a lot of money and our nerves on repairs, got away with a relatively simple repair. Or it could have been a situation where the motherboard, processor, or even worse, the hard disk, which stored important information about the company's operations for several years, would have burned out.
